“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.”
― Amit Ray, Om Chanting and Meditation
A pattern exists deep within this life. It pervades all interior spheres of heart and mind, existing as the basic dynamic, the purest gestalt. This pattern can be found in all that we do, in all that we feel and all that we experience. It is this simple pattern that binds us.
In life, we aspire to do many great things.
This all begins with a pattern of simplicity.
It begins as a basic idea, the echo of a thought born in ether. Often, the clashing noise of the world distorts this simple pattern, ushering in a chaotic void which then fills with complexity, over-thought and abstracted concepts of living.
But these abstracted concepts are no more than fleeting thoughts, rarely applied, hardly lived.
We all want something. Whether this be to live a certain way, to attain a certain status or to achieve a specific goal or ideal. But these simple wishes wash away as we abstract them within our thought. They become an unsolvable puzzle that shatters across the mind, binding the heart in complexity rather than the structure of simplicity.
This cannot bear fruit.
I often think of my childhood when I feel overwhelmed, confused, anxious or worried. This was a place of peace that now permanently exists in memory. The truth that I find in these moments of recollection are presented in encapsulated fleks of time. In viewing them, I remember that the simple pattern is still radiant, carved in the permanence of my heart.
I still wish for simple things, and so do we all.
We must strive to regain this simple pattern, this perfect truth that lives within all that we are and all that we aspire toward.
Rather than focus on the complex, abstract notions of what we desire, instead we should all remember the small but perfect impressions of what our lives truly are. We should remember where we began in order to know where we stand, and further, to know where our path leads.
Return to the simple pattern, the simplicity of life. This exists in a smiling memory, a perfect morning or the caress of wind on a warm day. It is this heartfelt love we feel for life that becomes forever suspended in time.
It is this vibration that brings us into this moment, right now; this simple present moment that presses against our skin.
And it is all so simple, so perfect, so divine.
Recognize your simple pattern, your perfect truth. It is the foundation for all you are.
